It has been admitted by Best Western that there was indeed a security breach, however they are adamant that only a small number of customer details were accessed.

The malicious code reportedly recorded the login credentials of one of the hotel chain's employees, which the hacker proceeded to sell to a group of Russian cybercriminals.
