Show us the View Outside Your Window
« on: July 16, 2008, 11:48 AM »
Carrying on from the thread entitled "Show us your (physical) Desktop", which is great fun, I thought we should have a thread where people post pictures from outside their real life windows.

It's fun to be able to add more images to the personalities on the forum -- post a picture or two of the view from your window!

I'll start out.. Here's an image from outside my window (I'm not religious it's just what's nearby):
outside1.jpg

ps. also see this thread on getting to know each other; if you haven't posted there yet you should.

I've posted my image here, so I'll just link to it instead.
That's the south view from my parents' appartment, I'll post the North and West views when I have some time to make more panorama photos :)

The view west, it's a field of Broccoli which will be fully of mexican season workers later this summer. Quite an operation.

Out back. It's quiet, except the hours I'm mowing.

Ugh...you guys live in beautiful places.  My view would look right into the next townhome, so out of respect for my neighbor's privacy, I won't even post.  And I'm probably paying twice as much.  That's what I get for living in California, I guess.

i have my blinds carefully closed to only allow light in but prevent anyone looking out - or in - as my view is another persons back garden. it's a bit like working in a cave.

Not necessarily. I live in Connecticut and I'm staring out the window directly into my neighbor's AC unit.

Maybe it has something to do with states whose names begin with a "C"  ???

My childhood's views (behind window or near by):

Currently I have nothing unusual to show - just London from 8th floor (and no camera after all).

We moved to Virginia from NY in December.  Here is out my back door.  It's one of the reasons we bought the house.
These pics are from December.  now the trees are green

That particular hen ended up with two broods to look after (11 chicks in all) - the frustrations of motherhood were very apparent and she tended to knock them over without noticing. One day I went outside to see three chicks in that position and they couldn't get up without help!

Sounds like an episode from my ill-spent youth  :o

And remember the proverb -- and this one works very well at boardroom-level -- the one-legged chicken doesn't scratch up the barnyard.  ;)

Let me complete the unspoken portion of that thought...

And then lock it away so the rest of us don't have to suffer any longer.  ;)

It's "hear, hear" as in, "Everybody hear what is being said because I agree with it!"
