Ugly Softmaker Office icons? No more.

TucknDar said Softmaker's Office icons were ugly. I had to do something about it! Here they are, M$ Office 2003 themed.

the Ashampoo version has it's own icons which I much preferred to the originals but I lost them when applying a softmaker update...
is there an easy way to replace them [- I mean with your ones of course ] ?

I wouldn't want to hack the .exe files themselves. Isn't there a way to override the icons for specific files using desktop.ini or somesuch?

Anyway, you also want to change the icon for files of the corresponding types. Here's one tool to do it:

Works for me. Beggars can't be choosers, but in any case, I can't come up with anything better.

You can do this in Explorer's "Tools/Folder Options.../File Types/Advanced" dialog.  If you have just a few file types to do this for this might be simpler than getting application.

And, of course, for any program shortcuts you can change the icon using the Properties page for the shortcut.
