"Made with Screenshot Captor" object

[brotherS]

I like the idea of having a "Made with Screenshot Captor" object or maybe even a few different in SC, the one that's there right now looks good but not perfectly on non-white backgrounds, check the corners:

you are right bro.

The first pics in this post was only meant for visual tests.
The laster ones are with trans bg.
If one want just this one with trans bg, pls tell me.

Thanks, don't worry, I can wait for the next SC release with new, improved "made with..." objects.

Here is a smaller one of "Made with..."

Two thoughts coming up there:

- I'd also like some uni-color object

- we should start to use one spelling only. Now there's Screenshot Captor (in SC itself), ScreenshotCaptor (the quickstart icon), and ScreenShotCaptor in this new banner.

IMHO we should use "Screenshot Captor" - each and everywhere

[mouser]

agree about spelling:
the official spelling of the name is "Screenshot Captor"
and this is the one i used.  quickstart icon i better check into - i generall avoid spaces in install directories but the quickstart icon doesn't qualify for this.  only problem is once i make a mistake naming something in installer its hard to change without people getting duplicate entries.

To the extent its possible, I really favor names like Screenshot Captor, Find and Run Robot, etc, rather than having the words run together.  Looks neat with no jargon.

I really love Stephan's idea to put information that the screenshots were made by Screenshot Captor.  My preference would be to always include the words "made by."  Otherwise, it looks like the name of the program that is being shown on the screen is Screenshot Captor, rather than that the image is made by Screenshot Captor.

An additional refinement:  I would like to see the words "Screenshop Captor" larger than "donationcoder.com."  Just looks more neater.

[AbteriX]

It's all a matter of the size.
To better seperate the words while reading
in this tiny size i make each first char upper.
This is better for non english pros to spell.

And if the "Screenshot Captor" would be the bigger part
than the DonationCoder.com part would come to tiny.

All this is only meant for this tiny "Made with" clips.

Ahh,
and  the size is the reason too
why you also miss this "Made with..." part in this clip.

Either the clip would be to big with an readable size of the words
or in this size of the clip all the words would be to tiny
if there are a row with "Made with" too.

Maybe one of you would like to try to make such an clip with an professionaler app ?

[mouser]

i can imagine it must be difficult to make these readable at this size,
but i do agree they do need to somehow say "made with"
and "Screenshot Captor" with a bit of a space.

Yeah, good ideas!

Here's my suggestion (just a dirty preview, Stefan is better at this):

What do you all think?

[mouser]

i would love to have a collection of these to add to the next release.

stefan and and anyone else - care to make some? a variety of sizes and appearance is fine we can add a few.

i think they should also somehow say
"made with Screenshot Captor"

and if they also say "DonationCoder.com" that would be nice too, though it would be ok i think for some not to.

[brotherS]

Yeah, variety would be good! Too bad I can't help you there (only with object ideas), I'm not that gfx expert myself

Hopefully we have some other capable folks besides Stefan here? I remember Carol showing us that funny movie image?

[AbteriX]

I try to learn "btw" an ohter graphic tool.

here is just an size test....

[Carol Haynes]

And how about this (not specifically SC)

[Carol Haynes]

Sorry the colours (and intensities) are completely different to the way they appear off the webpage - I must get a web compatible palette sorted out ...

[brotherS]

@Stefan: While I can't stand those colors I like the ideas, especially the first in the second row

@Carol: at first I thought you were starting a "who blinds the DC users first" contest with Stefan

[Carol Haynes]

I have replaced the horrid image above - have a look now ...

[brotherS]

Nice, much better!
