[iphigenie]

i must be doing something wrong today - got another one!

[iphigenie]

One of the best 404 pages was on a web design website, where you get an entire article on good 404 pages
Must get the link, it was full of good screenies.

Although the 2 i got from LT and flickr were probably the "timed out" messages

I think you'll find it or something similar in this thread
404 - Page Not Found
or,
the irresistably titled
Nothing to see here :/

I like the 404 from theprawn.com

It has a silly comment about the page you're trying to access, then give you ten random facts.

Smashing Magazine's Wanted: Your 404 Error Pages and 404 Error Pages: Reloaded.

[iphigenie]

The difference with the 2 i posted is that they are probably error 500s

[Veign]

Here's my current 404 error page:

Here's the old one:

Kinda fun playing around with 404 pages.

This gives me a great idea for a new dc contest!

Make a 404 page for DonationCoder!
It should star our mascot Cody of course.  People could use the existing images of Cody or perhaps they could just design it with a mock up sketch and we could ask Nudone if he might be willing to bring the mock-up illustration to life.

Shall we make it official?

[Lashiec]

YES!

[Veign]

I would be interested to see a codified 404 page.

[mouser]

Yep, i will post an announcement about the contest in the next day or so, so get your pencils ready
