I have been looking trying to find some history of the origination of DC.  How did it come into existence and by whom, wel you probably get the gest of it.  Was it called something else before DC?

Oh, about the "hello" section at the bottom of the page.
Mouser, for the Italian, maybe instead of "Buon giorno" you could put a "Ciao": it's more friendly and informal!

So out of the 111,449 members, how many are active on the forums?  Do most join to look/find/ask about a specific thing or topic and then become inactive after that?

I think I came in fairly early. I remember Mouser asking for submissions for a Donationcoder mascot and Zaine submitting the Budweiser girls with "Donationcoder" across their swimsuits (hey, you changed it Z, ??).
I also remember the IRC weekend (can't find that post...), the drupal debate, lots of other topics that caused quite a stir at the time even though I may or may not have participated.
3 years seems such a short time, yet an eternity...

Hehe yeah, couldn't remember off the top of my head, then checked my profile, but still couldn't remember the time period, so...
