What ya think it is?

[tomos]

I'm not from scotland but I can say it doesnt look like any eel to me
what does that leave

I wonder has it been analysed by now (the video I mean..)

[BigJim]

Are there links to the video that they're talking about? I couldn't find one. Or do I have too much AdBlockPlus and similar working.

[allen]

I'd be curious to see the video.  I've been enamoured with these surreal stories--Loch Ness Monster, Yetti, Chupacabra -- I'd love nothing more than for these stories to prove true.  But, of course, they seem unlikely. It's not unreasonable to assert that there are massive, undiscovered creatures of the deep oceans and dense forests -- but Nessie seems a bit unlikely.

But of course, they can't be *disproven*, as that would require categorically knowing everything that *was* with which to eliminate everything that isn't.  So here's to hoping, or at least imagining.

[tomos]

ironically the foto they use is

The famous 1934 'doctor's photo' of the Loch Ness Monster, revealed in 1994 to be a hoax involving a toy submarine.

EDIT/ they seem to have the video there but I cant get it to play on FF

[tomos]

here it is

[allen]

The video is pretty unimpressive -- which is either a sign that its creator is smart, and understands that some times "less" is "more" or who knows? Maybe there's something in there. It's not nessie, though--it's a giant squid tentacle.

--Meanwhile, those Fox News desk jockeys are positively idiotic.

[BigJim]

Fox News? Oh, dear. There goes credibility out the window.

We'll need to find a better feed. This one is "morning chat show gibberish" with pretty people yucking it up and no soundtrack from the original report.

[BigJim]

Amen, Allen.
I guess people actually watch that stuff?

[mouser]

do i need to set up a special sub-forum on the site for LochNess Monster Related Discussions?

[allen]

Fox News? Oh, dear. There goes credibility out the window.

Fortunately, they didn't break the story--they just discovered that someone else had and wanted to make fun of it.  The people on the show were quite convinced the video was BS, so . . . there may be some truth to it!

What, you don't like us waxing mythic in your living room?

What ya think it is?

Whatever it is, it is not a plesiosaur

Oddly enough, the first sighting came shortly after the release of the original 'King Kong.'

[Darwin]

Heh, heh, maybe that should be 'doctored photo'

[nite_monkey]

lol, that video is about as believable as me being mouser in disguise as a person that doesn't know how to program worth jack.

[Darwin]

I KNEW it. I should have put money on NiteMonkey being Mouser in disguise... I've been saying it privately for months.

What i think is : no things are not like myth or legend,.Some things are kept as secret by nature if nature unable to keep it frm humans it will destroy it .

Lighter side:
What ya think otherwise you know reporters will be on that lake 24x7 and airing ...army will then came and capture such things and take them to some SETI or area51 things.so moral of discussion is if that creature exists after reading such problems he might have sucided ...

But let's not take it lightly some things are there like one i found on Yahoo!

http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/ynews;_ylt=AujvQCyUuJRUzEhMqzVL8Afq188F?ch=4226722&cl=6511979','playerWindow','width=792,height=666,scrollbars=no'
or alternatively you can fnd video in the featured section of the yahoo as named strange sightings.

[allen]

Heh . . . Nessie at SETI is an amusing thought. "All right boys, time to flood the dish. We need a big pool."
