DonationCoder's Massive Annual Best Of the Web 2007 is Now Online

[mouser]

It's a new year so you know what that means, right?

It means it's time for the second annual "Best of the Web" retrospective roundup!

Over 46,000 posts were made on the forum in 2007, and from those posts a collection of some of the most entertaining discoveries and debates have been featured in our 2007 edition.

It's an impossible task to select just a small number of sites and essays to feature, so a lot of great ones were bound to be overlooked.  Please share your views about any particularly glaring omissions.

just an idea: -
is there room down in the bottom left for a bit of dc promotion...
I was thinking specifically of those other two new or updated pages

The DC Coding Snacks Page
and
The DC Mini-reviews Page

which BTW are also looking very good

Lot of good stuff there...even some posts I forgot I made.

I think somewhere on the sidebar there should be a link to last year's too...just in case you get through all of this years and it still isn't enough.

On the 2007 page, you have a bit of extra comment closing code showing:

how about a link (to the next page) at the bottom of each page?

saves going back to the top so you can select from the sidebar...

nice lists BTW (however did you manage to cull it down to these??)

basically we went through all the items that were blogged on dc in the last year (so the blog was the first filter), and then just tried to select a representative subset of the best, with a strong emphasis on small new sites.  not very scientific.

i'd second that.. maybe this time, the selection should be done on a monthly basis.. then a subset of blogs would readily be available at the end of the year..

Really great best of 2007.  I especially liked, among many other things, the link to the articlie on data visulaization : http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/08/02/data-visualization-modern-approaches/

And many more.

Thanks !
