PDF Explorer

[mouser]

this was updated recently (as seen on fileforum).
PDF Explorer - very nice tool for keeping track of your large collection of PDF files:

I've never seen this before. A nice find. Thanks.

Anyone use it yet?  I'm going to give it try soon, but just wondering if anyone has experience with it.

i tried it briefly - seemed like a very useful thing to me.  i'm keeping it installed.

Ditto - dead easy to use (despite the Portugese manual!). Only played briefly but so far:

Just click on a folder/drive and it lists all the PDF files in that subtree (you can toggle subfolders on and off so you can restrict to a single folder or search a whole drive). You can then view those and keep a snapshot of the files you have found. great for finding PDF manuals quickly (click on C:\Program Files).

Plus you can quickly and easily extract images from any PDF file.

That's all I have found so far but there are lots of things I haven't played with yet!

Anyone speak Portugese?

Just downloaded the latest builds of this (and PDF Shell Tools) and noticed that they are now shareware (I am sure they didn't used to be).

PDF Explorer is now 60 Euros for PDFE and 40 Euros for Shell extensions which both seem a bit steep to me.

Shame really as I have occasionally found them useful - but they don't warrant 100 Euros worth of use to me.

Sorry - it was just that back in 2005 the manual was only available in Portugese ....

My sister does... Not that it helps...

I haven't tried these. I need something (free preferably) that will let me see PDF files as thumbnails in explorer. Anyone know of something like this?
