i have a lot of files named xx-01, xx-02, xx-03, yy-01, yy-02 and so on. i often want to launch xx-01, then xx-something, then yy-something, u get the idea. I don't really need the history list as much as the history of inputed text. I gave the alias "h." with results "dosearch historys -h." to bring up the historys, and ctrl+up to retrieve the last search text, so it's not really a big issue. Mouser has made Farr so great with all the possibilities that I've officially switched over. And I wonder why i've only heard Farr until now. Sorry for that.

In FARR, when you have multiple items, they act like a menu when you type in the alias name -- letting you choose which to launch.

If you want to launch both you could hit Ctrl+Alt+Enter (i think).

Alternatively, you could but both items on one line, separated by ;;;
(in which case you probably want to use the | facility to give it a label, for example "Launch Both | C:\expresslink;;;C:\notepad.exe).

@mouser: Not sure what I may have done here, but for a while now, I have been getting these FARR-related error message on boot-up (FARR is auto-started) and on restarting FARR, though FARR itself seems to load and function OK despite the error messages, after hitting ESC through all the error messages:

The update for FARR did not make it go away, and I have just now re-installed FARR, and that did not make it go away either.
I don't want to blindly uninstall FARR and risk losing all my settings, and I figure I should be able to point-and-shoot the problem - if I knew what might have caused it. (I'm going looking for SALRTL.DLL after posting this.)

Any ideas?

What version is required please? Are you able to tell me?

The bug with a leading dot in filenames (not processed correctly) is indeed fixed

Using % variables in an .alias file still leads to an incorrect icon for all entries inside that group.

E.g.:
D:\Users\Highend\Tools\FindAndRunRobot\AliasGroups\MyCustom\highend_start[1].alias
D:\Users\Highend\Tools\FindAndRunRobot\AliasGroups\MyCustom\highend_start[1].ico

The .alias file contains e.g.:
            OpenVPN | D:\Users\%USERNAME%\Tools\OpenVPN\_OpenVPN.exe
            AdMuncher | D:\Users\%USERNAME%\Tools\AdMuncher\AdMunch.exe
            Clipboard | D:\Users\%USERNAME%\Tools\CHS\ClipboardHelpAndSpell.exe

The icon for the alias group after typing in ".s" is correct but all three entries show the same icon

The only way to fix it seems to replace the variable with the real folder name or adding an /ICON entry for each one.

Can you have a look at it again, mouser or is it (now) working as intended and you want the user to add an icon for each entry?
