Remap Mouse Buttons
« on: October 20, 2007, 08:28 PM »
I just did a fresh nLite install and wanted to get rid of IntelliPoint. Anyway, I integrated the drivers for my MS mouse but didn't want to be dependent on the bloated software that let's me remap the keys.

Today I found X-Mouse Button Control, a nice little program that does just what I want without all that other crap that I won't ever use. Now when I click the right side button, my clipboard (ClipX) pops up just where I need it.

So there is no way to change (or turn off) the xbuttons in xp without third party software? I find it hard to believe there isn't a registry entry.

Nice, however, from the name of the app I was expecting the only x-mouse feature I need, which is auto activation that follows the mouse (autofocus). Unfortunately the author never heard of it. So with Vista we are still limited to those registry hacks...
