Rocker452 - is the Hotkeys at http://qliner.com/hotkeys/overview.htm a decendent of the Hotkeys that was written in the 90's by SheAr Software?
* FARR
* Quicklaunch (from truelaunchbar, not that different though)
though i find that FARR gets slower the more directories you add to it.
For example i have all my portable/standalone/no-install programs in C:\Programs, and when i try to find something in it, it takes too long.
Another issue is i don't know when it's done searching.

You could use the Locate32 Plug-in for farr -- no more waiting since everything is indexed, if you wish.

I prefer Executor. It works like launchy/FARR/Slickrun.

Great!
Can you do it Armando?
What we need now is a careful mega review of all these launchers with a comparison table!

tinny, did you try the free Phrase Express. I am curious to understand why you would pay up for DA when you can have Phrase Express for free.
It certainly has some features that both of them don't have. Don't ask me to list them, they're way too many. The options screen isn't *that* complicated if you just go through section by section. Besides, the installer has a wizard that will set it up the way you like. If you like a minimalist design for instance, Executor can be set up in that way.Quote from: [deXterlink=topic=10049.msg79162#msg79162 date=1191377680]

The configuration set-up screenshots make it look complicated. How do you compare it to FARR and SlickRun? SlickRun, at least, looks comparatively simple on the surface.
Also, I see Executor has "limited functionality" on Win9x which I still use at home
I guess I'll have to drop another note to the author

http://www.trydash.com/home/Tinjaw, I take it that you haven't tried Dash???
Nope. Link please.
I use the Jet Toolbar to launch my programs and browsers and find that having it at the top is the most convienient way to access it. I also have it so it appears when moused over. I find it to be very quick and convenient.
| Voice Recognition jetToolBar supports any SAPI-compatible speech recognition engines, and includes Microsoft Whisper speech recognition engine by default. You can enjoy voice recognition if your computer has sound card and microphone. To launch program, simply talk the name of the button. |

Yes, Tinjaw has had one too many energy drinks before 09:00. OK, maybe two too many.
