I'm impressed with DonationCoder... Are you?

Well I just have to say.. that I am impressed with DonationCoder.
Why would I be impressed (who wouldn't ?!) you ask?

Put quite simply, this is a friendly place.
The quality and atmosphere of DonationCoder is great.
The software is very helpful, and so are the official reviews (saves me having to find the best of the best )

That is why I donated. I'm glad I found this place (well really f0dder hinted it to me by releasing his great fSekrit program here, thanks f0dder  ).
I hope to make this a new home for myself

Any other people care to comment of DonationCoder?

I love it here! I've only been seriously contributing for a few months, but now I can't live without the place. I visit just about every day and usually make at least a few posts too.

I agree, it's a very friendly, informative, useful community. And it's getting better by the day. The more contributors who get involved, the more great content we have. That's the beauty of community-created content.

I was kind of looking for a new online home when I stumbled across this site back in January, while looking for a particular type of software.

It was serendipity.

Although I never quite found the program I was looking for, I found my new online home instead.

I have been here and very happy ever since. 

There is something here for everybody.

Everyone here is friendly, intelligent, and not afraid to speak their minds. And we are all pretty free to do our own thing here, too. And we don't compete with each other. It's a breath of fresh air.

And mouser is a great leader...he somehow manages to make it all work well by pulling us all together as a team, while still allowing us to be us.

That's a great skill that I admire. (and one required by the leader of any place I would call my online home)

I want to say that DC was one of my favorite place. The specs and design of the site rock's

I discover a lot of tips, great softwares in the forum; download lot of best shareware I use every days (thx Mouser).

The top of the top -> the spirit, the kindness and the bienvaillance of this community.

It's the first Software site I've donated to, except it's not just a software site! There is a lot of wisdom here, generally based around things digital... but how many years do you think?? You know, it's funny when you go to a conference and they say "there's xx years of experience on the panel"... DC's forums have a heap of quality years here for the asking.

And that's the thing: they love being asked!! Plus the programmes are great!

Donationcoder is a community that has truely inspired me. I now enjoy doing various projects for the site, to range from screencasts to the upcoming interviews for the podcasts, to whatever I can think of next. Donationcoder has shown me how hard developers work on applications and has given much more motivation not just to donate to freeware projects I like, but to support commercial applications by purchasing a license when I find a tool useful.
