I stumbled across this one last night  Inventory Solutions which is a $30 shareware program.  Its tailored to home/office/church but has a number of the features I am looking for.  I haven't looked at the reporting part yet but am thinking its lacking.

After trying it out a little more I decided that it wasn't quite what i was wanting.  Its not customizable and lacked some important (for me) fields that i thought it should have.  Here is a better link to the home page.  http://www.inventorysolutionsonline.net/

I'll update the SQLNotes default template to include an inventory setup for you. Today or tomorrow.
