Hi Mouser,

I was glad to see
[BugFix] - Changing size of window was sometimes being forgotten on restart.
in the release notes. Unfortunately as of 2.43.01 this still isn't fixed. I like to have my FARR window semi-transparent and to take up nearly all the screen space when it comes up. That really looks cool, but it only looks cool when it is centered on the screen and has the same margin left/right top/bottom.
When I resize it into the right form it works for one or maybe two days and then the window gets smaller from the right and bottom and that looks ugly. I still use FARR because of it's funcionality, but it just looks ugly.

Please fix this or maybe provide some settings where one can specify that the window should be centered and what size or even better which margins to the sides of the screen it should have. The last one would in fact be much better as FARR would nicely adjust itself to changing screen resolutions.

Best regards,
  Robert

rbeeger: I have changed it. ;)
BTW: you can easily change & to anything you wish by changing enter = "&"  (3rd line) in fscript.py ;)
Nice. Thanks.
BTW: Why do we need something to simulate ENTER? Why does it not work with ENTER? Somehow FCalc succeeds to stay the context after pressing ENTER. Or are there any other reasons?

Yes, with ActiveState Python it also works here.

Hi, I now installed ActiveState Python and now it works. Great.
One suggestion: If I type an & and the action is executed I'd like the prompt to be reset to td. Now I always need to delete the old action to enter a new one.

Cheers,

Hi ecaradec,

As I tried out the todoTXT plugin which is based on Python and FScript, I discovered that it didn't work, it didn't even show up in the plugin list. The page at mvps.org lists the python.org-variant of Python which I have installed and prefer over the ActiveState variant as a valid Windows scripting language.
I don't know anything about how you enable a scripting language in FScript but I suspect that the python and ActiveState variants use different ids or names or something like that and that FScript only checks for the ActiveState ones. Would it be hard to make it configurable what veriant of Python is used or release a version of fscript that uses the python.org variant?

Cheers,
  Robert
