Handling of spaces
« on: September 11, 2005, 03:19 PM »
Hi,

I don't know if this is a bug or not. I have quite a few files on my HD that are named something like this:

first_middle_last.xxx

With an underscore used as the delimiter. If I use FRR to search for the string:

first middle

The file first_middle_last does not appear.

I think it would be great to have an option to define certain characters as being delimiters, and maybe have them be ignored in the search, or have some sort of weighting scheme for them.

hi bob,

actually one of the main features that should be ready in the next couple of weeks is treating of spaces as separate words instead of as a phrase, which would do what you want, it would catch files with both words in them, and would also match "last first"
