Improve: capture "Specific Object"
« on: August 14, 2005, 12:58 PM »
If i use "capture object"
it would be nice if the current choosen object / region
would be highlighted by an doted rectangle
for better seeing what will be captured.

------------------

Also I see
if I start to capture specific object
I can still use ALT+key to open the menu of the current window
plus I could use the arrow keys to choose sub menus

but than i can't capture the menu at its own  (with 1.01.16)

Yes i could do an full window capture and crop the menu later
but the other way would be more handy and less time consuming.

So it would be nice to trigger the 'object capture'
by RMB too
to capture the menu allown.

---------------

If i choose an menu to open it
and press Ctrl+ALT+O
the menu disappears (because of the ALT key).

If i set an other trigger key than ALT (e.g. Ctrl+PrtSrn)
i could capture the menu with the window too,
but still not the menu allown.

So i think an ALT for trigger key for "Specific object"
by default is not nifty for not to making-insecure novices.

Just for discuse.

yes i think you are right -
it would be nice to have it show highlight of the object it is about to capture, and then maybe require something like push ctrl+click of mouse to capture currently highlighted active object.  this is really good idea - i will put it on todo list.
