Read only password support?
AbteriX:
Hi f0dder,
have you think about to implement the option of having an r/o password too?
e.g.
i want to share a "CommonInfos.exe"
with passwords and telephone numbers not all should see
but some people who have the password for fSekrit.
If i now didn't want that the modify the content of my "CommonInfos.exe"
for not having different versions of that info circle around...
... it would be nice to give only an r/o password out to that people.
Maybe you came along a trick to do that... so please think about this feature than again.

I'm still considering it :)
Thing is, a user could still copy the text and paste it into a new document. Unless you want to disable clipboard functionality?
A read-only mode *could* be useful though, I guess, for stopping accidental saves and such. I'm still considering it. I don't think it'll make it in v1.2, though - I'm trying not to add *to* much new stuff with each relase, but keeping the program stable. I hope :)

Aha, thanks. :)

Yes, that's OK. But than i can still reffer to the original exe and say "Use this!"
If the can modify the original exe, no one can say what is the correct one after a short time.

Than the make a quick screen shot with screenshot captor. :-) :D ;D

But what is to stop somebody from copy/paste to a new note, then overwrite the original exe file with that? Read-only mode is not a very effective "control" thing... but it's still one the todo since it might be useful for other stuff :)

Hmm  :o :-[
Yes, that's right. If they have access to an original fSekrit exe ...
Hmm BTW: will there be a fSekrit version without About-box and fSekrit in the title? :D
If no one knows where this secret little exe comes from....
