entering license key
« on: August 29, 2006, 01:30 PM »
Hello, I am trying to access screen captor, and have access to the key. However, it says to go to the "help", then to "about", yet I don't have an option to enter the key. I am using Mozilla Fierfox. Any suggestions? Thanks-Valerie

Let me give this a try:
1. Run Screenshot Captor if it isn't running already.  It should appear as a "blue monitor" like icon in your system tray on the bottom right of your screen.
2. Right click on the icon and choose "About" in the menu that pops up.
3. On the far bottom left of the Screenshot Captor About Box that pops up should be a button labeled "Enter New License Key Information" - click that and paste in your full license key begining with *r1..
4. Click "Accept"

In other words the "program" in "Open your program's About box (from menu choose Help->About)" is the program you want to download not your browser or the page the instructions are on? If that's the case it's a little fuzzy. I, too, went to both Firefox's and IE's about menu looking for the button metioned.

Dear Mouser,

I copy & paste the key :
( Generate via 6-Month Renewable License Key for Clipboard Help and Spell (copy and paste into the application): )

[KEY DETAILS OMITTED]

And the Error Msg shows : "Error: Bad License Key syntax.  Error in License Key text syntax -- please check that you copied+pasted the entire license key begining with *r. "

Kindly advice .
Yaojie

Best Regards,

the most common problem people have with the license keys is downloading the wrong one.

it's easy to miss, but there are actually different links for different programs on the license key page:
https://www.donation...r.com/Keys/index.php

make sure you download the correct link.
