Hosting photos on your own site
« on: October 31, 2019, 10:33 PM »
There was a piece of software that was very easy to install on your website, and very easy to make galleries of photos for viewers to see that I used in the past- but I can't remember the name of it.  People here have used it- there's a free version and a paid version.  I know I'm not giving much to go off of here, but I just don't remember anything other than it was very easy to set up and I need something like that right now.

Does anyone recall any software that would let you host photo galleries easy on your own site?

jAlbum - was free, now looks to be paid - did have a link to the last free version here, looks like it's gone.

v9.6.1 looks to have been the last free version.

Untested download link (Software Informer), (VT analysis).

There's also some open source software called Gallery (which makes it hard to search for...) but it appears as though it has been abandoned for about 5 years now.

I have not tested it by myself, just read a bit into... you might like it
it looks to be free

There you can create slideshows or other style arts based on given templates.
