Decision Analysis
« on: August 06, 2017, 12:01 PM »
I am searching for a good free decision making tool in any field.

I found this, but the project is parked :

https://sourceforge....t/projects/decision/

Do you know good alternatives ?

Best Regards

Flip a coin?  Roll some dice?  Use the Magic 8-Ball?

The link to the creator's website is an expired squarespace website. Doesn't bode well.

Alternativeto.net suggestions:
http://www.decisionaire.com/
http://www-03.ibm.com/software/products/en/odm
https://sites.google.com/site/simpledecisiontree/
http://www.genview3d.com/
http://www.openmarkov.org/

Not sure if these links are helpful, but these are decision making software alternatives.

I take a walk by sourceforge and don't find any good option for me.
Sure is the AHP (analytic hierarchy process) method or the Weighted decision matrix method.
Running to try !

From the links above are interesting :

SimpleDecisionTree is an excel xla addon . To make decision trees.
OpenMarkov is a spanish software from UNED Universidad Nacional de EducaciĆ³n a Distancia. It's not what i am looking for.
Both are completely free.

An AHP option online may be

I will try and comment.

I have found an excel template for the AHP method too. But for excel 2013 or forward. I have 2010.

Unless some very specific features from Office 2013 are used in the AHP template you found, you can open it in Office 2010 without issues.

But you only know if that is true by opening the excel file.

Understood Shades.

Other functional option is https://sourceforge....?source=typ_redirect  (no development in the present moment... the program seems not to be under development)

ahp results to be the same as weighted decision matrix.

Of this option there are a lot of free options (excel, java or other)

I begin to find more alternatives to decision trees

I find other option interesting

superdecisions.com
they give you the serial number for a year .
You have to register in the web.

Superdecisions.com seems a lot better than the commercial Decision Making Helper

Screenshot after installing and license for a year renowable
