I would like to use FARR as a launchy replacement as it takes up significantly less resources.  How can I have farr only search all *.exe's?

GO to the Pattern Scoring part of the options dialog.  There's already an entry for *.exe.  Give it an even higher number and give the other patterns lower numbers.  Or uncheck them altogether.   Remember that you might want to point it at your Start folders and have a *.LNK pattern too.
