Gmail to Warn Against State Sponsored Hacking
« on: June 06, 2012, 02:07 PM »
Well, just as the title says:

http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/06/05/google_to_warn_users_targeted_by_state_sponsored_attacks

Quote
UPDATE: A senior Senate aide confirmed that this evening he received a warning on his Gmail account that Google suspected he had been the target of a state-sponsored cyber attack.

Web giant Google is about to announce a new warning informing Gmail users when a specific type of attacker is trying to hijack their accounts -- governments and their proxies.

...

"Today, we're taking that a step further for a subset of our users, who we believe may be the target of state-sponsored attacks."

...

Google wants to be clear they are not singling out any one government for criticism and that the effort is about giving users transparency about what is going on with their accounts, not about highlighting the malicious actions of foreign states.

I wonder if that includes the USA/PSA/NSA? :P

I'm just full of rainbows, unicorns, and... well... at the moment not nearly enough vodka... None in fact... I'll have to try and fix that shortly. :P

But, it appears that they are tattling on everyone...

The only people that would try that on Adam Kokesh are, well, yeah... them. :P

All this proves is that the corporations are indeed making a push for world domination.

Why?

...Because throughout history evil dictors have always first shown up as protectors.

I truly wish that you were just being a smart ass and joking...

But you're bang on. It always starts with "protection" and "safety". :(
