Thanks!  For once I hadn't been on steam... hope they put Space Marine on sale near the end of the week, though I doubt it.

a little bird told me that these are the daily deals (in no certain order) though Steam/THQ might throw in a twist. the list looks alright, though that MX vs ATV game might be replaced with CoH

  • Metro 2033 - today
  • Darksiders
  • Homefront
  • MX vs ATV Reflex
  • Red Faction: Guerrilla
  • Red Faction: Armageddon
  • Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II Chaos Rising

Well, I see three new games in my future... I already have M2033, 40K CR, and RF:G... so Ill get all the rest other than the racing game.  And then have *more* games not to play...  :-[

I was seriously considering the Collection, (had it in the cart), but then thought I've already got STALKER, not really into RTS and ended up just getting Metro 2033.

Hope they put up Homefront for a really good price.

I'm waiting on that one, RF:A, and Darksiders (though more 40k would be nice too)

Unfortunately, at least one of these is wrong as it's the excellent, but definitely often-discounted Titan Quest that's the game of the day.

75% off Red Faction franchise today.

Here's hoping that if Homefront is put up, it will be cheaper than AU$15, (for physical product + AU$4.90 P&P) available at Mighty Ape until 10:00 AEST, Oct 14th.

Then again, given the review here I'm not sure I'm willing to even spring for $15....

By the way, if you've never played Red Faction 1, you're missing out on a great game! It's only $2.50 for the remainder of the daily deal period.

The quality is comparable to Half-Life, in my opinion.

I can't say the same about the rest of the franchise, regrettably. :(

I liked the third one... and bought the last one today. So YMMV. :)

Guerrilla? I bought that a couple years ago but my PC couldn't run it very well. So I didn't play it much. Your comment made me realize that I should clarify my previous statement:

I've only completed Red Faction 1 & 2. I absolutely loved RF1. And I was severely disappointed in RF2. What little I managed to play of Guerrilla made me think it would be more like RF2 than RF1.

Yes, Guerrilla and now Armageddon.  I will clarify that I didn't like 1 & 2... just couldn't get into it.

And on another point - yay!  Homefront is the special of the day! Half-price at $14.99.  Low enough for me to buy it...

(UPDATE: Deo beat me to it LOL  THQ is sooo hit or miss; I'm hoping this is a hit...)

Oh yeah!  Steam ripping off the little fella again!   >:(

Because I'm obviously geographically-challenged:

Homefront - US$25
Red Faction (x) - Cheapest is US$6.66

4R53|-|0L35!!

Although I'm still not sure whether to bother with Homefront after reading the review which pointed out quite a few problems with single player.
