Folks, today's promotion is no joke! For starters, 65% is the highest discount Revo has ever offered for their world-renowned uninstaller utility.

Does it really work - i had the ashampoo one back then and it did nothing much even if you had logged everything etc.

Last time I remember an uninstaller doing anything useful was early versions of Cleansweep... Looooong time ago

[cranioscopical]

FWIW, I'm pleased with it.
It mops up quite a few dirty footprints that various uninstallers leave behind.
I, too, used to like Cleansweep but its job was trivial compared to what's needed nowadays.
Some inept uninstallers that I've tried should have borrowed a slightly modified version of its name, viz. Cleans Weep

QuarterDeck. Now THERE was a company. (I tbhink I've still got an installation CD for CleanSweep, up in the attic. One day, it might be worth a few pennies. Or not.  )

I do too, just in case I install windows 98 somewhere again... or something

I have a big binder with almost all the CDs of software I used, with license codes. I alas threw away the OS/2 related ones a while back and an old Solaris (not really alas, it is clutter) and most floppies but I have a lot of old CDs and even my original 1996 wincommander floppy
I do throw away driver CDs though, once i dont have the hardware anymore, so I am not totally hopeless.

It's like a trip down memory lane. Ulead, Allaire, Macromedia, Starfish...

I purchased a key in December 2011, but am using the free version.

[Innuendo]

Just in case anyone missed the fine print on this one, there is online activation keyed to your hardware. If you want to install it on a new PC or reinstall it after a Windows reinstall you'll have to email the developer to get your key reset.

I've used the free version for longer than I can remember and it's always offered the pro version for 50% off via an icon in the free version's GUI.  60% off is something to consider though.  Already have Winpatrol for monitoring so can't see spending $15.7 for features not much beyond the free version.

The BDJ Revo Uninstaller deal is still active for another 24 hours or so.

If anyone is thinking of buying two licenses, be aware that an additional discount kicks in for 3 licenses that makes 3 actually less expensive than 2 licenses.

1 license:   $16
2 licenses: $31
3 licenses: $24
4 licenses: $31

So, don't settle for 2 licenses.
