latest pc magazine has utility guide
« on: May 08, 2005, 08:43 AM »
couldn't find this online, but the frontpage article of the print version of the May24 issue of PC Magazine is "The Best Utilities"
and it has a long roundup of recommended software (2005 Utility Guide).

ed: after some searching i found a link here: http://go.pcmag.com/utilityguide

I'm not particularly impressed with this guide.  They didn't mention WinRAR at all and their review of Directory Opus was for version 6.2, but the current version is 8.1.

But they do, of course, mention WinZip, which hasn't improved much since what, 1996?
