2010: Will it be better than 2009?

For me, it has to get better. 2009 was a very tough, tight financial year. Well, every year is, but I'm glad it's over.

2009 was rough for me, especially the end of it.  hopefully 2010 will be better.

I think it will be at least a bit better, for me at least. The year has a lot of potential anyway: I'm starting on a lot of projects I've been wanting to do for years, I'm adjusting my hours at my main job so I'll have more time for this, my girlfriend will be done with school mid-year and she'll have a lot more free time that we can spend together, and money hasn't been that bad for me 2009, 2010 looks ok too... so here's hoping it's a good one, I'm thinking it will be.

I am pretty much negative about 2010.

However I am cautiously optimistic about 2010 as we seem to be slowly crawling out of the abyss that 07-08 (and most of 09) dropped us in.

...That just seem a bit harsh even by my standards (which for the most part don't actually exist)

Things can always get worse, the question is will they. One of my favorite sayings (Murphy's Law fan that I am) is that no matter how close you get to attaining your goal, there is always plenty of time for things to go horribly wrong. That not withstanding ... I refuse to give up.

I feel quite certain that this year will either be the best year of my life or perhaps one of the most frustrating, despiriting, crushing years of my life.

I'm trying to make take as my personal motto something inscribed on a ring my brother brought home from Spain many years ago: "Mas que ayer, menos que manana." Which basically means, "More than yesterday, less than tomorrow." Or in other words, every day is better than the last.

All I have to do today is be a little bit better than I was yesterday and I think that is success.
