Does anyone know where to find a freeware program that compares NATURAL text versions.  I have two versions of the same book (678 pages) I would like to compare pdf files and need to see the text differences, including fonts and ignoring bolds, italics, underlines, spaces.  All I can find are line by line text-compares.  Could anyone help?

I don't know of anything. 

I'm not sure how much mileage you'd get out of the following approach, but FWIW, you might be able to learn something useful by running the PDFs through some converter first to produce something that can be compared more easily.
