HowTo remove links from smileys?
« on: April 23, 2008, 02:09 AM »
Thanks to Phill66 I've found the small and nice JPEG & PNG Stripper [JPS], and it made me once again wish for some app that will remove links from certain types of smileys. I think it is 'enough' that I once purchased "their" smiley program, I don't need to also advertice for them, do I. JPS will handle .PNGs but not .GIFs.

Do you know of a program that will batch remove links from a folder of images, please?  :tellme:

http://www.versiontr...n/moreinfo/win/13212

This will break down the animation frame by frame and let you remove any frame that would have links in it.
If that is the problem anyway.

there will be a prompt to register with version tracker but you can ignore it.

I don't think it will do batch editing, but i haven't tried either.

Interesting little app from Microsoft. I've never heard of it, though - maybe one reason is that it has not been updated for eight years?

Operating System Requirements:
This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

Windows 2000
Windows NT
Windows 98
Windows 95

- but of course, it seems to work okay with XP as well.

But you were right, it won't batch edit
- and we are talking about thousands of smileys...
