seems like a new one, didn't find a mention here yet, unless my search phrases were wrong.

Discounts seem too low to bother (probably they are just passing over part of their commission), but that would be understandable for starters, until they will fill the shelf with real offers. They will be offering Direct Access with 50% down on 7th Feb, I got that info from Nagarsoft mailing.

It's starting to be a bit crowded, too many places to keep track of.

Has anyone purchased from this site?

Some of their figures are a bit fishy. Here's an example from their Second Chance page:

Macro Scheduler

Retail: $50.00
Price: $43.50
Discount: 25%

Huh? 25% off of $50 would be more like $37.50

I haven't purchased from them, but I assume they're legit because my first pointer to them was from the same mailing tamasd got from NagarSoft - a vendor was selling hist stuff (Direct Access) on the site.

But you're right, some of their arithmetic is off - they need a new calculator!  Maybe they can get one of those newfangled computer-things to do the cipherin' for them.

I'd take care to double check the charges on the order page so you don't get surprised.

I thought perhaps the difference reflected sloppy editing - it was a "second chance" discout offer so perhaps the original discount was 50% but late comers can still get it at a 13% discount?

Just click on the offer, then you'll get the details for that deal.. here you can see that the correct original price is $ 58.00 instead of $ 50.00.



I guess he just hit the wrong key on his numpad (at least I would like to think so  )

No surprise that it's editing errors - but there are more than one:

SureThing CD Labeler	25% of $24.95 = $5.00?
RecordForAll	10% of $39.95 = $5.00?
FeedForAll	10% of $39.99 = $5.00?
Nuance Paperport 11	15% of 199.00 = $40.00?

Now, I'm sure these are all just simple typos (and for the most part, if there's an error it's that the %off is too low), but it seems something that should be more often correct.

Anyway, since I'm picking on typos, I pre-apologize for those I've made in this post (since by universal law any post complaining about typos will have them as well).

There is another small site giving away programs; only, they give away freeware programs! :-) The site is named "free download a day", http://www.freedownloadaday.com/ , and they have the funniest newsmail you can think of: They will mail you once a week, okay, but not to tell you what WILL BE, oh no, but to tell what HAS BEEN! The only way to know what any "today"'s offer is, is to go visit their page, there is no newsmail telling about it.
