There isn't? I signed up for a new yahoo account just the other week, and I sure have free POP3 access. All I had to do was go into my settings and enable it.

No I'm not, as I am using POP3 to access my free Yahoo account right now :)

reading this thread prompted me to do some googling & came close with this blog entry.. according to commenter #8, "Most non US Yahoo! sites offer free POP3 so its best to stick to them for a while." so maybe POP access varies from domain name to another.. :)
