Fate by Numbers - sci-fi noir adventure game

(1/1)

lanux128:
Fate by Numbers is a FMV adventure game, developed by a group of students from the Netherlands as their graduation project.

You assume the role of Alice Sanger, private eye, whose assignment quickly turns into a mysterious journey through the layers of a future metropolis influenced by the style of noir movies from the 1950s. Available for download in DVD image format as a big (1.2gb) and small (0.8gb) versions.

Looks like they were very heavily inspired by the Tex Murphy series of games (Mean Streets, Martian Memorandum, Under a Killing Moon, Pandora Directive & Text Murphy: Overseer) :) I absolutely loved those games back in the day, so I might just check out this as well. No matter how it turns out, it's free...so why not.

Lashiec:
At first I was enthralled by the description, but after seeing the trailer... well, it really shows it was done with a tight budge, the production values are not that great. I might download and mount the ISO, but FMV games were a real failure because developers oversaw very simple things. At least, Access was there to cover things up :)

the first time i saw it, it reminded me of a live-action Max Payne.. :)
