Automee - Really neat

mouser:
hehe, this is going to turn into a mini lesson about posting pictures, so this isnt really directed at you specifically, but to everyone.

first, dont link to external images.  on this forum you can attach an image to a post -- that's preferable since it will last forever and not eat anyone elses bandwidth but ours.

second, attach the pic to your original post not as a separate post (you can modify your post).

third, you can display the attached pic anywhere you want in your post by specifying the code

--- ---
fourth, the jpg format is not well suited to screenshots.  it's good for photographs, but for screenshots, use png.  Most screenshot tools can do png (my Screenshot Captor can and does by default for example).

I give up.  :tellme: I just wanted to point out what I thought was a nice piece of simple software when most everything nowadays comes with a bloated GUI.

mouser:
please don't take my post as discouragement! we appreciate the post.

i'm just trying to help all readers get into certain habits of posting to make things so smoothly and to make it easier for me to blog interesting posts, and make posts a bit more visually interesting.

Hirudin:
LOL...
Sounds interesting indeed... I've been using KeePass for all my form filling needs, but some of the things I'm having it do are better suited for a less secure app.

I'll check it out.

Re: pictures... yeah, I used to always host pics on my own site, then link to them here. Mostly because I'm used to -other- forums where the attachments are so restrictive, here you get 8mb (which is awesome!) and you can post tons of different file types. Screenshot captor makes it even better since it's got the super convenient "Copy path to clipboard" button.

I also like to use the "Shadow" button, it just makes images look SO much better!
