It would be good to hear what you think.
I only found binaries for 2.2.17 (from memory), the source is released for versions up to 2.4 but I have not seen any binaries above 2.2

yeah, its 2.2.17.
I probably wont be really testing it that much -
I crop rotate scale etc a bit for work. for me I do a bit of messing around with photos -
but again in Photoshop I generally only do selective sharpening & a bit on contrast
(my camera's colour is good so generally I dont have to mess around with that)
BTW. you wont find me messing around with source :P ;D

Photofiltre happens to have less features but is free for non-commercial use .
Personally, I use Paint.net. If you're used to GIMP then it might not be as big of an issue for you, but I found it extremely crowded and user-unfriendly.
Paint.net has all the features that I personally use, and has a very nice layout.
I'm using a XP-Pen Star G430 OSU Drawing Tablet for my drawings in Paint.NET, and it works pretty well but does not support pressure sensitivity..
