PowerPro development to cease this month
lanux128:
i heard of PowerPro's powerful features (no pun intended) but had not tried it myself.. hopefully someone will be able to coax the author to provide the source-code for further development.. btw, recently authors of Cobian Backup & AllChars (that i know of) gave up their development of their respective programs and made it Open Source..
Nomadin:
I hate it when a favorite program is shelved. I actually bought Stiletto, the precursor to PowerPro. I have relied upon this little program for a long time. I certainly don't fault Bruce for giving up on it. He spends way too much time for a nonprofit venture.
Unfortunately, even if it works now, I hate to continue to rely upon it because eventually it will have an issue with the OS or another program. Sad day... :(

Damn, sad news indeed.

POWERPRO IS DEAD! LONG LIVE POWERPRO!! HUZZAAAAHHHH!!
(in other words, I am deeply saddened by this event, but as long as I am forced to use a windows platform in any capacity, I will use PowerPro. I will bravely soldier on under the PowerPro banner. I will never surrender.)
Ennovy:
Finally (after four years) there is a NEW version of PowerPro (5.1): http://powerpro.cresadu.com/xdownload.shtml
