Request for 3rd party freeware tool configurations

(1/3) > >>

mouser:
I'm working on the new object drawing stuff for screenshot captor.. i think this is going to take screenshot captor to a whole new level.

I'd also really like to demonstrate the power of the 3rd party tool configuration system.
what i would love is some help finding freeware tools and configurations for them.

So far i have 2, color cop, a great color picker tool.
And the mini ftp upload tool by crono here on the forum.

Here is what i would love to add (preferably freeware)
tools and configurations for watermarking tools <-- this one especially
tools and configurations for steganography
more ftp tools.
an email tool.
picture frame tools.
special effects tools.
image optimization (ie png compression tool)

in case its not clear what im asking for, im asking for freeware programs that can be run from the commandline, plus the proper commandline configuration for using the tool from screenshotcaptor tool menu.

crono:
Hi,

you can do a lot of things with the commandline versions (http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-tools.php) of Image Magick (http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php). This includes framing, combining, watermarking, set annotations, creating thumbnails and so on...

You can see some example commandline calls for annotating at http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graphics/imagick6/annotating/
for more calls see http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graphics/imagick6/

Also nice to demonstrate the IM power are the "Graphics from the command line" articles at IBM.com

http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/library/l-graf2/?ca=dgr-lnxw15GraphicsLine

bye
Andreas

mouser:
great suggestions, keep 'em coming!

id definitely like to include some useful imagemagick scripts for users, to make it a little easier for them.
there is so much possible with imagemagick that it can be overwhelming.  might be nice to prepare some premade commandline tool configurations.

Carol Haynes:
WOW - imagemagik has enough to keep any command line junkie happy for life !!
