Here's a very cool way to create and share maps online.

Maps, Your Way!
    * Create personalized maps
    * Share them with your friends
    * Explore maps created by others
    * Connect and collaborate

Wayfaring truly is a great site and I have used it pretty extensively in teaching-related work. But I've gotten nervous about its future. The user forums have vanished recently, and the creators don't respond to emails. Wayfaring's creators all work for CNet now, I think, and they were all involved with the Chowhound project, so I think this site has kind of slipped to a low-priority status. I wish they provided a way to get my data out of the site just in case it goes down, but I can't figure out how to do it.
