installpad: automate your downloads and get latest versions

(1/1)

urlwolf:
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned installpad here.
It's an app to automate your downloads and get latest versions, digged and lifehacked :)

It didn't work for locate when using the <DownloadLatestVersion /> option, but works ok for most other apps.

Cool little thingy.

http://installpad.com/ ? Sounds interesting.

Personally I use website watcher to monitor the download pages for software I use, but I guess it might be nifty to have it a bit more automated.

Lashiec:
WOW! This is the closest thing to Ubuntu's Synaptic app. VersionTracker also had a similar software developed by themselves, but it was shareware, and sometimes VersionTracker's tracking method goes a little mad (they notify you of old updates). So how does it fare? Does the .NET Framework dependency slow things down?
