Alternative input methods for keyboard and mouse input via camera.
The goal being to use computer vision as a virtual keyboard and mouse to help both limited-mobility fellows AND people wanting to avoid repetitive stress/strain.
Commodity hardware is capable these days! Just regular webcams/equipment used.
Aim is having it be the main input method for daily/normal usage. This opens the doors to potential users who may have required special hardware.
Any limb that can move (even a small range) can control the cursor and type.
We being with a very limited range imposed: a person having only two working fingers or both toes. Either having cameras pointing at their feet or to the single working finger per hand.
We build from there.
An Unikernel-based web engine.
The goal being getting web hosting costs as close to zero as possible.
The unikernel technology is the natural next step from containers.
I envision unikernels as the ultimate shared hosting model.
Each user can have full independence and full security (since they have no login/shell and reduced attack surface). Mixing them with Hypervisors frees users from any underlying operating system requirements/lock-ins.
Unikernels are truly set-and-forget until next hard-coded update: maintenance bliss!
This removes the need for managed hosting. Yearly savings can go to families’ budgets (think inclusion).
