I'm guessing this project has been abandoned?
« on: June 20, 2021, 01:10 AM »
I bought this tool back years ago and recently found myself in need of it. But, it won't detect npcap or winpcap even though they're installed. The last update for this was in 2017, so I'm guessing this project has been abandoned and no longer works.

It's not been abandoned it's just not got much work done on it lately.
But with windows 10 there have been some developments win winpcap and npcap, that make them still compatible but a bit confusing.
I know there are some posts here on the forum for how to make them work.

I think npcap might be the way to go.

I think npcap might be the way to go.

I tried using npcap but it wouldn't detect it, and when I selected it manually it wouldn't show any packets crossing the network

I would love to see this updated with winpcap and networking sniffing. The last update was 2017, so I think the Windows 10 version isn't working properly.

I just installed ulrsnooper2 on Windows 10 - could not detect an adapter.

After installing npcap1.55 ulrsnooper2 detected adapters OK, but:

On https://fbiradio.com/ while playing the stream the only items detected seemed to be digi certs.

Tried https://www.2mbsfinemusicsydney.com/ same result. But in Firefox | Tools | Page info | Media this site shows the audio stream as https://fmfm.org.au:...001/finemusicdigital and this works in an external player.

However urlsnooper did not detect this url either.
