Youtube home page for FulLengthBinaurals
I discovered the throb effect works good if I download and play back simultaneously on VLC these two 'binaurals';
At 0.9hz; 1hr Delta Binaural Beat Session (0.9hz) ~ Pure
At 3hz; 1hr Delta Binaural Beat Session (3hz) ~ Pure
With VLC, the two playbacks can be simultaneous and continuously looped.

Using Brave browser and 4K Video Downloader set to 480 quality...
If I play direct from Youtube online, I get a nice throbbing effect, as; wooOOOoooOOOoooOOOooo
But if I download it and play it back in VLC, it loses the throb, as; woooooooooooooooooooooo.
What gives?

Downloaded and played back fine using SlimJet and MPC-BE.

Yes, MPC-BE plays individual brainwave vids with throb. Tnx 4wd.
edit; I don't see a way to loop playback or change playback speed, in MPC-BE.

BTW, MPC-BE uses almost the same identical Desktop shortcut icon as AVIdemux.
edit; PS - 300th post.  :)

MPC-BE
I see; and for bookmarks, just use the Favorites in the menu bar.
I saw an Option called Shaders, and DuckDuckGo'd it, but didn't quite pick up on what that meant.
In case anyone may wonder why one would want to change playback speed, it goes real nicely to slow down playback on something like;
Relaxing Sand Castle And ocean waves, with wave sounds
Salient features of this particular video are; minimal people or manmade artifacts or sounds, no intrusive music or talking, long -31minute- playback, all-inclusive episodic theme beginning with a fully constructed castle ending with total castle wipe-out, and preservation of natural sea sounds, for maximum subliminal relaxation.  Good sandcastle construction, too.
BTW, I did not make the castle or video and I don't know who did.

youtube-dl and no browser window.
Best an very ease to handle.
In my case, running in a VM a Linux just for doing this task :-)
Working with alias may help to reduce syntax with just one argument, two aliases if just audio is required :)

Re: 'repeat forever'; Okay, now that I know how to 'find' this option, how do I 'select' it? When I click on that 'option', the 'Apply' word does not highlight itself to confirm the choice.

EDIT: found it under your ^1st picture; thank you!

How do I add MPC-BE to my 'Open with' drop-down menu; all I show is VLC as an option.
To play with MPC-BE I have to drag & drop in Desktop.

Third image is where you can set a key shortcut for it, it's unassigned by default.

How do I add MPC-BE to my 'Open with' drop-down menu; all I show is VLC as an option.

Same way you add any program you want to the Open With... menu:
  • Right click the relevant file
  • Choose Open With...
  • If you don't see MPC-BE, click More apps
  • If you don't see MPC-BE, scroll down to Look for another app on this PC
  • Locate MPC-BE

Tnx! :)

edit: When I minimize SpeedFan, it totally vanishes and I cannot find its active icon on Desktop or anywhere although I know it is still there and did not actually close. I really need to figure out how to get the active instance of it back on-screen on Desktop, instead of starting a 2nd copy.

It may not be news to some, but I seem to have discovered that if I surf YouTube without logging in (which is 'always'), and if YT tells me to 'log in to confirm your age', I can copy the web address, then start 4K Video Downloader, and click on Paste Link, 4K Vid downloads the video without any trouble. Not always, but I just did it with another one successfully. Then without even visiting the download folder, I can right-click on the vid, then click on 'play' in 4K Vid, play it, then either save it, or right-click on it and choose 'remove'' or 'delete'. All with a blocked vid that YT symbolically infantalized me by demanding that I 'log in first to confirm my age'.

BTW, 4K Vid has been offering me a 'free license' lately, although I'm already getting what I need with the unregistered version.

Vegas are you no longer using Allavsoft's Downloader? You gave it an endorsement in another thread.  If you moved on... why?

I saw that BitsDuJour had Allavsoft's Download and converter.  for 100% off. or if you want the lifetime version, $18.99

Does anyone have any experience with this program.  The comments on BitsDuJour have alot of praise, but there are some saying it triggers their virus scanner.

Batch downloading and converting.  It seems to "promise" support on many platforms, including facebook. I actually need to download a bunch of videos from facebook page that is being migrated.

I am looking at other programs I saw mentioned in this thread (list below).
Years ago I used video downloadhelper.. a browser extension.  I remember feeling like it was a little sketchy.

Looks like earlier in this thread folks offered up
4k Video Downloader https://www.4kdownload.com/
3D Youtube Downloader https://yd.3dyd.com/home/
Free Download Manager https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/
JDownloader 2 BETA https://jdownloader.org/changes/index
Youtube Song downloader https://www.abelssof...tube-song-downloader

and of course youtube-dl

Thanks

I found this 'rotating galaxy' video,
4K Galaxy, Nebula Motion Background ,Milky Way, Free Video Background,
but it's rotating the wrong way (as countless comments point out). I searched duckduckgo on how to do it in avidemux; all I can find out is that -apparently- my later avidemux v.2.7.5 no longer has a 'reverse video' filter function/option, whereas earlier versions do.

I use 4K Video Downloader for YouTube. Also https://okvid.download/ which is slower but reliable to download videos exclusively from https://ok.ru/video/c1358478, but I also have Norton 360, Malwarebytes, and the paid version of CryptoPrevent, at https://www.d7xtech....revent-anti-malware/. I've tried various other video web sources but quit using just about all of them because of persistent malware pop-up warnings from both Norton 360 and MWB.

I've purchased my own copies of various classic movies in the past, but my current laptop has no disc player, and some of my fav vids I  bought did not include omitted scenes included in later remastered versions, so it is nice to find a remastered version with omitted scenes at https://ok.ru/video/c1358478. i don't recall ever getting a malware pop-up warning from ok.ru, but neither would I ever visit it or any other vid domain without the above-mentioned paid anti-V services. Most of ok.ru's videos are redubbed in Russian, which I don't speak. But careful searching has often brought up a few classics posted in the original English.

Thanks Holt. I did not end up going with the purchase.  Just do not want to risk the viruses at this point[url=https://ok.ru/video/c1358478] looks interesting. Alot of cool content.

I did a quick search and it looks like there were changes to the software that broke the reverse function, and then it stopped being developed.  I did find two options.

1st, https://www.kapwing.com/tools/reverse-video... which resulted in this link: https://www.kapwing.com/videos/5e8265db1846690014302ac3  However it was watermarked.  Apparently if you sign up for an account you can remove the watermark.  https://clideo.com/editor/reverse-video also resulted in a watermark.

Shotcut , which is open source can do accorting to these tutorials  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ySc1-qgYQM

From StackExchange:

Code: Text [Select]
  1. ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf reverse reversed.mp4

Take note:
This filter buffers the entire clip. For larger files, segment the file, reverse each segment and then concat the reversed segments.

FYI

Or:
1) Download an earlier release of AVIDemux.
2) Openshot can do it.

Of course then the background is running in reverse.

YouTube constantly changes (breaks) things. 4K will surely have an update soon that makes things work again.

That's what I keep thinking. So far, it's been an increasingly long hiatus.
