Enable Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) In Windows 10 Home Edition

(1/1)

Ennovy:
I recently found this tip to enable group policy editor (gpedit.msc) in Windows 10 Home Edition (standard only available in the PRO edition)

No other downloads except this script
All other files are already available on your Windows 10 Home machine

Run the script in admin mode.
It takes a couple of minutes and after execution it is advised to reboot your PC

I tested this with my Windows 10 PC with the latest october 2018 update and it worked fine

Hope you can use it too

Have a nice day

Now that has potential to come in quite handy!

You both made me remember I know nothing about "Group Policy" in general, and even less than nothing about editing such - so forgive me the quality of this question, please: Does it make sense to be able to edit GROUP policy, when I am the only user?

Am I lucky, so a change of group policy can make it possible for me to avoid those frustrating "You're not allowed to do this, even though you're the only user and it's your own PC" -situations?

Yes because you can limit the actions of programs also, classic example: Block Avira Ads

Note: That is an example - an old example.

Whether or not GP Editor is useful to you ... that's entirely subjective.
