software for memorizing info

a while ago the issue of software to help memorize info came up.
i just stumbled on this: http://www.super-memo.com/supermemo/supermemo2004.html
looks a big busy, but full of features.

For quick notes (and more, like song lyrics, jokes,..) I'm using Treepad (http://www.treepad.com/). The freeware version (no nags, no adware) is more than enough for me.
