"Nullius in verba/verbo." Motto of the Royal Society, London, UK. Literally, "Take nobody's word for it; see for yourself".
This motto indicates that currently, legitimate science seems to be based on the rejection of trust.

OP said he tried but couldn't figure out how.  I think he was wanting to know if he was missing something.

Ath:
there currently is no video/calling capability in the Whatsapp desktop client.

And ditto for the web client.

Best alternative: Install Android in an emulator and run WhatsApp from there, as suggested in this 'Quora' post

As an alternative to WA, you could try Signal, it too has a web client, but I'm not sure if it supports their Video calls yet.

Neither the Signal Desktop client nor the web app do video or voice calls, the Android app does though, (and probably the iPhone app).

However, Viber can do video calls from the phone apps and the desktop app.

IainB:
LINE also has full chat and video functionality from:

* The Android app.
* The Windows Phone app.
* The PC-based app (does not require an emulator to be installed first).
Not sure whether this is of any use/help though.
