chrome has stopped working error...

(1/1)

Target:
anyone here had any experience with this phenomenon?

My wifes laptop now routinely throws this error, despite the fact that Chrome clearly hasn't stopped working.  I've tried most of the sensible fixes (including uninstalling and reinstalling) but I still can't resolve it

64bit win 8.1, and, well, chrome...

Shades:
Martin from GHacks has some suggestions.

Target:
yep, done all those except for rolling back...

seems to be very common problem, and has been for some time, but the response from google appears to be a resounding meh...

Here is the thing that I did to settle the blunder. While this fix worked for me, it may not work for you also. This is the reason I'm posting extra choices to repair Google Chrome when you get the quit working mistake on Windows.

I went to the Chrome download page, downloaded the most recent Canary form to the PC, and introduced it straightforwardly without uninstallation.

**Always reply back if it's fixed. If not still feedback would be appreciated.
