Good bye Firefox

<< < (2/5) > >>

dantheman:
@Curt,
Have never worked with an ESR before, so it's good to hear about your experience.

@Deozaan,
Do like Vivaldi too and it sounds promising but too soon to become default.

As of late, since extensions are plenty, Slimjet has become my default.

Will miss "find as you type" feature in Firefox with "enter" to open the link found in page.

Curt:
I am running Firefox ESR 52.4.0 (64-bit), but it is not perfect (...) I am clinging to it because of the addons. -Curt (October 29, 2017, 03:04 PM)

important detail: one addon that makes it possible to hang on to Firefox (ESR) is "Open with.../Open link with...", button ~ right-click menu. Homepages: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/open-with/ + https://github.com/darktrojan/openwith. It is a very fast way to open a link in any other browser or editor.

Welcome to the wonderful world of retarded Chrome development ...

Closest I've found: Type Ahead Find

dantheman:
@4wd -couldn't have said it better.

Thank you for the tip!

Tuxman:
You're late to the game.

I admit that Firefox 57 is fast now, but the other advantages when compared to Vivaldi are virtually non-existant.
Have you tried Pale Moon?
