freeware app to detect sensitive info in documents (doc, pdf)

I don't know exactly. Appear in Mouse post. But I suppose is sensible or privative information or information that third persons may use.
Usually are the metadata, but I don't know if Mouser includes something else.

I fail to see how mouser is involved here or in your request... :huh: he didn't even post in this thread (yet).
The term 'sensitive information' is IMHO too broad to be generalized into a 'simple tool', that's why I ask for context and more details. You haven't really clarified anything yet.

Cheap Windows alternative: Remove Personal metadata from Files to Protect Your Privacy
Which is unfortunately very limited in what it will remove.
There's also MAT which supports a few formats.
