The end of replaceable batteries in smartphones

That's it. LG's upcoming G6 will not have a replaceable battery anymore.
Because, ha, as if modern devices would last long enough to see the demise of their batteries...

At least my life has suddenly become more interesting as I'll probably need to throw a dice about my next smartphone. LG was a safe bet until now.  :(

Yeah, that integrated battery is OK for expendable commodity electronics.  Like an MP3 player @ $50 or less.  Start spending $500+ for a phone with one?  I don't think so.  :)

I guess they just expect us to recharge them until they won't hold
a charge anymore.....and then go out and get a new phone each
time that happens.  Sounds plausible.
