window classes?
quixos:
hello there again,
i use a program called iEx, it hides or thumbnails program windows on the desktop.
it can be configured to exclude programs, by executable or class. i think it's called a window class.
identifying the Desktop Coral executable to it doesn't work.
here are screenshots that illustrate the problem.
iEx right. http://img176.echo.cx/img176/466/iexright3ot.jpg
iEx wrong. http://img176.echo.cx/img176/2405/iexwrong9an.jpg (you can see the Coralls)
iEx settings. http://img159.echo.cx/img159/1759/iexsettingsclassesentry3zu.jpg
if you would let me know what i should enter, i will be one step closer to desktop nirvana. :D
p.s. there is some program out there i've used in the past that had a little crosshair draggy thing to identify window classes. but i haven't been able to find the words for a productive googling.
mouser:
i'm not sure i fully have a grasp on the problem but try:
TMainForm
as the name of the window class of desktopcoral.
see if that works and let me know.
mouser:
btw those are some nice looking screenshots.
quixos:
thank you, it works. :)

looking great! http://img31.echo.cx/img31/2508/great7kr.jpg
p.s. don't know if you are talking about my taking a good screenshot (90% quality jpeg, irfanview, PrintScreen) or my truly amazingly functional (everything two clicks away, easily identified) and sober desktop layout. ;) thanks for the compliment regardless.
mouser:
glad to hear it works.
yeah i was talking about your nicely organized desktop and launch bar thing.
might be nice to hear more about the software you are using if you feel like it.
