LeDimmer replacement?

I've been using LeDimmer for awhile now, but there's an annoying bug that make the active window stay behind the dimmer layer until you click on the title bar. The original author probably abandoned it so, there's no chance of getting this bug fixed.

I'd like to make a request for someone to create a replacement for LeDimmer?

I used Ghoster before LeDimmer. The reason I stopped was because if I change the setting showontop=1, the whole prog would not work right anymore. And that prog too hasn't been updated since a long time ago.
